About the Founder
Hi, I'm Taylor, the founder of Coastal Kindred Care Navigation.
My passion for patient advocacy comes from both professional experience and personal lived experience. As someone living with a disability and a rare genetic disorder, I understand firsthand the challenges of navigating a complex healthcare system. I know what it feels like to coordinate multiple providers, seek answers, advocate for appropriate care, and manage the emotional and logistical burdens that often accompany chronic and complex health conditions.
For more than 15 years, I have worked in healthcare in a variety of roles, including Clinical Secretary, Medical Assistant, and Phlebotomist. These experiences provided me with a unique perspective on patient care and the healthcare system from both the clinical and administrative sides. Throughout my career, I have been committed to helping patients feel informed, supported, and empowered in their healthcare decisions.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Philosophy & Ethics from Saint Michael's College in Vermont. During my academic career, I published neuroscience research and developed a strong foundation in evidence-based decision-making and ethics.
Advocacy has been a central part of my life's work. While attending Saint Michael's College, I founded and served as President of the Student Disability Advocacy Alliance (SDAA) from 2020 to 2024, working to promote accessibility, inclusion, and disability awareness on campus. I also successfully advocated for the passage of H.C.R. 170 in Vermont, which officially recognized May as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Awareness Month.
I founded Coastal Kindred Care Navigation because I believe no one should have to navigate healthcare alone. Whether you are facing a new diagnosis, managing a chronic illness, caring for a loved one, or feeling overwhelmed by appointments, referrals, and medical decisions, my goal is to provide the guidance, advocacy, and support you deserve.
While I am originally from Vermont, my husband is from the Stuart area. We both enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, rock climbing, and fishing, and I particularly enjoy crafting (painting, scrapbooking, sewing, and quilting).
I am honored to help individuals and families navigate healthcare with greater clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.
